The Sheriff's Dispatch Center is located in the Sheriff's Office at the corner of South Broad and East Morgan Streets. It is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to personally greet and assist those needing our services. The Telecommunicator's duties include: answer the phones, personally greet those who visit our office, dispatches deputies to the various calls for service, keep a log of these calls for service, keep a log of the deputies radio traffic, operates the NC Division of Criminal Information (DCI) computer system, keep criminal process (warrants, orders for arrest, criminal summons) sent to our office for service, and, maintain the Domestic Violence Orders sent to our office for service and enforcement.
